After having a few sound issues with my 1979 Rega Planar 3 I decided to remove the tone arm and get the wiring replaced . I wasn't comfortable doing this job myself so sent it off to The Vinyl Source. I now have the arm back and refitted. The new wiring looks great and of course it sounds great. The Vinyl Source do a first class job and I would recommend them to anyone looking to keep their old Rega turn tables running as new.
I can't recommend this service highly enough. Very helpful over the phone, quick reply to emails and very fast turnaround of the service too. Arm returned well packed, along with old cables. New cables very smart and tidy and my turntable is back sounding like it used to many years ago ! A quality service all round. Thank you.
I have been contemplating having a RB200 tonearm refurbished for many years as have an old Planar 3 of my father's which I wish to pass on to my daughter.
Should I spend £130 and not knowing the outcome or quality of the work being undertaken.
I need not have worried...the whole experience was first class, excellent service and fabulous workmanship.

The only problem I'm now faced with...does it sound better than my own Rega P1..it might just.
